Paul J. Carroll, CFP®

Principal & Wealth Manager

Paul is the founder and CEO of Avion Wealth, LLC. Avion Wealth was seen as a venue for Paul to serve his clients, not through the traditional broker-dealer avenue, but as a consultative, trusted advisor looking for holistic solutions to a complex wealth management plan. His vision was to create a client-centric firm that places service before sales.

Paul leads a team of wealth managers in building and executing financial plans for high net worth individuals and families. By establishing and maintaining open lines of communication, Paul stays up to date on clients’ lives so that he can proactively provide guidance and direction as they navigate the challenges and opportunities presented to them.

While not with clients, Paul spends time working on the development of his team, the firm, and the community. Both internally and externally, he takes pride in seeing the success of others.

Paul graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He subsequently earned his Master of Science degree in Finance at Texas A&M University, graduating in 1987. In order to best serve his clients, Paul earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ designation and encourages his team to do the same.

While not in the office, Paul and his wife Helen enjoy going to the theater, live music, and travel. Paul has been a pilot for over 30 years and still enjoys piloting his team to visit clients around the country. An accomplished sailor and scuba diver, Paul can often be found close to the nearest body of water.

Elizabeth A. Brady, CFP®

Partner & Wealth Manager

Elizabeth, a Wealth Manager at Avion Wealth, excels at identifying challenges, evaluating potential options and implementing solutions. With an eye for detail, Elizabeth spends time getting to know all of her clients on a personal level so that she can get to the heart of their concerns and fears in order to implement a plan that encompasses her clients’ goals and values. In knowing the big picture, Elizabeth can spot potential issues before they happen and adjust the plan accordingly. With this in-depth planning, Elizabeth’s clients benefit from a Wealth Manager who is truly invested in their success.

Behind the scenes, Elizabeth oversees Avion Wealth's financials. She manages the company's fiscal activity and how it dovetails with strategic plans for the future.

Elizabeth joined Avion in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Texas A&M University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ professional, a state registered Investment Advisor Representative and holds her Series 65 license. She is also a member of the Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2023.

Elizabeth’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband Sean, and their two daughters, Emilia and Madeleine. She loves the theatre, trying new restaurants, and traveling within the US and abroad.

Ashley Dominey Stewart, CFP®

Partner & Wealth Manager

Ashley, a Wealth Manager at Avion Wealth, takes great pride in preparing comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families. Ashley enjoys educating others in regards to their personal finance and believes that open lines of communication are vital to a healthy plan. She applies her passion for financial planning by taking the time to truly understand a client’s personal goals and values to determine the best course of action to meet these. This determined commitment to her clients is evident in the lasting personal relationships she develops with them.

Serving as the firm’s Compliance Coordinator, Ashley maintains a comprehensive compliance program through the ever changing regulatory environment. This enables the firm to proactively meet complex regulatory standards in the everyday business practices.

Ashley also functions as the firm’s CPA Liaison. In this role, she ensures that the tax strategies implemented by wealth managers reach the client’s CPA for proper reporting. She provides the CPA with all custodial prepared tax documents and serves as a resource for both the client and CPA.

Ashley, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢, earned a Master of Science Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the number one rated Board Certified Financial Planning Program in the country, Texas Tech University.

Ashley and her husband Vince have two delightful young children, Adeline and Jack. They enjoy spending time with their families, traveling, fishing, hunting, being on the water and anything else that gets them outside.

As a Partner & Wealth Manager, Sarah spends her time assisting high net worth individuals and families navigate the ever-changing financial terrain. By delivering personalized recommendations for each situation, Sarah strives to help clients meet their desired financial goals. Sarah’s goal is to act as a trusted resource for her clients as they face the many choices, challenges and opportunities that they are faced with in their financial lives.

Behind the scenes, Sarah works closely with Paul on maintaining dynamic portfolios and asset allocations. Using Nobel Prize winning research, she helps develop investment recommendations for the firm in addition to leading firm-wide rebalancing efforts and trading.

In 2011, Sarah graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. After beginning her career in the banking industry, she joined EWM in 2014. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ professional and a state registered Investment Advisor Representative and holds her Series 65 license.

When not in the office, you can find Sarah and her husband Ben outside kayaking, hiking or biking. In the fall, she can be found rooting for her beloved Aggies during college football season. She enjoys cooking and what she lacks in training, she makes up for in enthusiasm.

Katie Sotiropoulos Waltrip

Partner & Business Operations Manager

In her work as the firm’s Operations Manager, Katie puts her unending patience and organizational skills to good use. She spends time assisting with operational duties that includes coordinating schedules, handling paperwork, and other key support tasks to help the office run smoothly.

Katie is responsible for Avion Wealth’s bookkeeping and accounting as well as tracking firm-wide ongoing projects on a weekly basis. Katie also manages the junior professionals and ensures that their professional development stays on track.

Katie joined Avion Wealth in 2014 after attending the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. She has a background in event planning that she leverages in her role at Avion ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

When she’s not in the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott and their daughter, Emma Kate. She loves being on the golf course with Scott and their friends, baking, taking walks with Emma, and spending time with her family.

Cydney P. Nash

As an Associate Wealth Manager, Cydney takes pride in analyzing complex client situations and implementing investment strategies in the wealth management process that align with her client’s objectives. Cydney strives to provide a well-rounded wealth management plan solution that caters with each client’s specific needs. She believes that open communication and transparency is the foundation of building a lasting relationship with clients. She has found a sense of purpose in serving her clients and helping them reach their financial and retirement goals.

Cydney started her career as a Financial Cost Controller and Accountant in the Oil and Gas industry while studying for her undergraduate honors degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of her European College, University of Bradford, where she attained First-Class Honors and an Outstanding Academic Achievement award. She went on to work for two of the Big 4 accounting firms. Cydney brings 8 years of experience in different industries coupled with her strong analytical skills in Investment and Portfolio Management. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) certification and passed her Level 1. She is also a state registered investment advisor representative and holds her Series 65 license.

During her free time, Cydney simply loves being outdoors with her husband Corey, spending the weekend on a boat or camping in the woods. She also loves travelling and exploring new adventures which she believes are the best way to learn and put things into perspective. On casual nights, her day usually ends with just a good book to read and spending time with her loved ones.

Relationship Manager

As a Relationship Manager at Avion Wealth, Megan spends her time assisting the Wealth Managers so they may better serve their clients. She assesses client information, helps to develop financial recommendations, and works to ensure that all information is both relevant and accurate.

Megan graduated from the Bowling Green State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, specializing in Marketing. She brings to the team 10 years of Financial Services and Planning experience. Megan is pursuing her Series 65 license and set on achieving a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. She also holds her Series 6, 63 and SIE licenses. Megan believes expanding her knowledge and earning her certifications will make her an invaluable member of the Avion Wealth team.

When she’s not in the office, Megan enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, husband Pecco, and two dogs. They are expecting their first child in April of 2021.

As an Associate Relationship Manager at Avion Wealth, Abigail spends her time assisting the Wealth Managers so they may better serve their clients. She assesses client information, helps to develop financial recommendations, and works to ensure that all information is both relevant and accurate.

Abigail joined Avion in August 2020 and brings with her a banking and sales management background. Abigail is pursuing her Series 65 license and looks to use her desire to help others by understanding each client’s unique set of circumstances and personal challenges to assist with creating a plan for their financial success.

When she’s not in the office, Abigail enjoys spending time with her husband Armin, and their son, Enzo. They love to cook, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy being outdoors.

Client Admin Assistant

In her Client Administrative Assistant role at Avion Wealth, Cait acts as an intermediary between Wealth Managers, Relationship Managers, and clients. She assists with preparing for client meetings, client paperwork and other planning materials, and offers support to the advisory teams to ensure all of our clients’ expectations are met. Cait understands the importance of successful financial planning and is passionate about helping others.

Cait joined Avion Wealth in February 2021 and brings with her an administrative, management and planning background. Cait has a BS degree in Psychology from University of Houston-Downtown. She also played College Soccer at the University of Charleston. She looks to use her planning and communication skills to help others by focusing on the details that matter so our clients will reach their financial goals.

When she is not in the office Cait enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler, and their children, Lily and Crawford. Cait loves to cook, travel, spend time with friends and family and is an avid Houston Sports Fan, especially the Astros.

As a Client Administrative Assistant at Avion Wealth, Rachel coordinates activities between the Wealth Managers, Relationship Managers, and clients. She assists with preparing for client meetings, paperwork and other planning materials, and offers support to the advisory teams to ensure all of our clients' expectations are met. Rachel understands the importance of successful financial planning and is passionate about helping others.

Rachel joined Avion Wealth in February 2021 and brings with her a banking and management background. She has 12 years of personal banker experience and looks to use this to help others by focusing on the details that matter so our clients will reach their financial goals.

When she is not in the office, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Cody and their four children. They love to explore Texas and find new places to camp and hike.

Your Wealth Manager

Your Wealth Manager is responsible for investment decisions and the implementation of your plan. They are also your main point of contact for any high-level discussions or concerns. Your Wealth Manager will always try to get back to you within the time frames noted below. If they are unable to do so, your Relationship Manager or Client Administrative Assistant will reach out.

Your Relationship Manager

Your Relationship Manager closely supports your Wealth Manager with much of the heavy lifting involved with your plan and individual accounts. They are typically the logical point of contact for most account and planning questions or concerns. Your Relationship Manager will always try to get back to you within the time frames noted below. If they are unable to do so, your Wealth Manager or Client Administrative Assistant will reach out.

Your Client Administrative Assistant

Every client has a Client Administrative Assistant who assists with scheduling, meeting preparations, paperwork, and the initial build of your plan. Your Client Administrative Assistant will be able to answer many questions regarding your accounts, transfers and other administrative needs. Your Client Administrative Assistant will always try to get back to you within the time frames noted below. If they are unable to do so, your Relationship Manager will reach out.

At Avion Wealth, we aim to return everyone’s calls and emails the same day. However, due to client meetings, portfolio management activities and other client activities this is not always possible. Sometimes messages find their way into a spam filter or are otherwise misdirected; in case this occurs, please call us if you do not hear back within the following time frames:

We will respond to emails within one business day; we attempt to at least acknowledge receipt the same day.

Phone Calls

Phone messages received after 2:00 p.m. Central Time may be returned the same day, if not the next business morning. If we are unable to do so, we will reach out by other means (email, etc.).

Documents

If documents are received via fax, the client portal, or our secure-upload system, a Planning Associate will confirm receipt within one business day.
