The Verification Methods Schwab Offers

Notification to a mobile device. Schwab sends a notification through the Schwab Mobile app, which you approve to verify the login. This method requires the Schwab Mobile app to be downloaded and installed on your device first.
Text message. Schwab sends a code by text to a cell phone number in your profile. If you have not used this method before, a prompt will ask you to enter and confirm the phone number with a verification code.
Security token. Schwab generates a code through the Symantec VIP app, which you enter at login. This is the app-based authenticator method. If you have not set it up before, a prompt walks you through downloading the Symantec VIP app and linking the security token to your Schwab account.
